Ellery Sneed had one great need\nTo do everything just right,\nIf things were not planned and all done by hand\nHe would ready himself for a fight.\nOne afternoon while sitting alone\nHe came to a great realization\nWhen it’s his turn to die\nWill there be enough time for plenty of planned preparation\nWith a few minutes thought his decision was clear\nA fate most perfectly neat\nNot a friend could remain to witness his death\nSo a terminal wine he would treat.\nThe plan was to hold a very large feast\nServing the wine at the end\nJoining the fun would be everyone\nHe’d been calling his friend.\nInvitations went out, all guests did arrive,\nThe meal looked a great success,\nDeciding the time he brought out the wine,\nUp stood a familiar guest.\nHere’s a toast to our gracious host\nSaid Ell’s friend Billingford Bluffer\nNever in my life will I taste but a bite\nOf a more perfectly planned out supper.
