Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the clouds rain the just:
(rorate, caeli, desuper, et nubes
pluant iustum):
Let the earth be opened and bud forth a savior!
(aperiatur terra, et germinet Salvatorem!)
Heavens declare the glory of God: and the firmament declareth the work of his
hands.
(caeli enarrant gloriam Dei: et opera manuum eius annuntiat firmamentum.)
V. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
(V. gloria Patri, et Filio, et Spiritui Sancto)
R. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
